Daith piercing healing?

I've had facial piercings before, so i'm pretty aware of how they heal, but i've never had any part of my ears pierced.

I got my daith pierced 4 days ago and it hasn't caused me any problems yet, so my question will be fairly simple.

I have a couple small dried pieces of blood left at the top from the day I got it pierced (hasn't bled since then). He told me not to move my piercing, to just clean it and do the best I can to keep the jewelry still. I have the heart jewelry in it and the pieces of blood are kind of stuck behind the heart so they're hard to get off without moving the jewelry.

My question is this: Is it worth trying to get the dried blood off with a Q-tip, or should I just wait for it to fall off after awhile in the shower? Surely it won't hurt to leave it there until it falls off, right? I don't want to accidentally move the jewelry with a Q-tip and irritate it all because of small pieces of blood around it.

Like I said, i've never had any sort of ear piercing so i'm not used to this cartilage piercing/healing thing.

Thanks!

I had the very top of my cartilage pierced with a 16g, (just stretched to a 14g) and it bled when I first got it for maybe the first hour and like yours, dried up. The piercer told me not to move it for the first 2 hours or so. I didn't, but when I got home that night, I cleaned the dried blood off and it was just fine. And that was just within a couple hours.

It's been four days for you. I'd go ahead and clean it off. I don't think it will hurt anything by leaving it there, but I wouldn't be scared to move it to clean it.

My very relied on piercer whos executed all 8 of my piercings, informed me it would be k for me to take out my tragus after 4 weeks of having it pierced to vary the bar, go away it out and so forth. Ive had it for three months now and im continuously taking it out and altering it. :)
