My father is trying to do some work for a friend and wants to know if a 1983 international 345 V8 fit in a 1983 international dump truck that currently has a 392V8? I myself do not know too much about this, but if additional information is needed I will ask him for it.

The 266 304 345 392 were all the same basic external block so it should be an easy swap. What changed depending on what it was mounted in was the intake and water outlet / tstat housing. That stuff should be swappable between the engines to stay with the truck.

yes but lots easier if you have the Donner truck to get little odds & ends from
