Gerbil genetics. certain colored pups?

I have almost 20 gerbils and i breed them somtimes but i still dont know alot about genes and how to get certain colors. Almost all of them are related and the pups are always the same colors. Black, white, dove, and nutmeg. I was wondering what color gerbils will make burmese, spotted orsomthing different. The females i have breeding right now are black, colorpoint nutmeg, and colorpoint grey. I have a white, black, slate, dove, and nutmeg males. What combination will make different colored pups from the colors i mentioned.

Genetics can be overwhelming, but there are some excellent gerbil genetic sites that do a good job of simplifying it. For example, "The Gerbils' Color Palette" tells you how to get the various colors to include Burmese. There is also a gerbil genetic calculator where you type in the parents' genes and then calculate possible offspring. The links follow:

Are you a member of any gerbil forums? One of my favorites has a "Colors and Genetics" category where you can search the archives and/or post your own Qs. The link is below:

You probably need some new stock. Breeding the same lines over and over will produce the same coloring. I would advise you to go buy parents with the coloring you want.
