Easy chemistry conversion question?

I'm having trouble with this concept and would like help.
How many grams are there in 2.3 x10^24 atoms of silver?
(there are 107.87grams of silver. And a mole = 6.02 x 10^23)

Favorite Answer

6.02 x10^23 atoms present in 1 mol
So, how many moles 2.3x10^24 atoms is = (2.3x10^24/6.02 x10^23) = 3.82 mol

1 mol silver = 107.87 g
So, 3.82 mol silver = 107.87*3.82 = 412.1 g

Hope this helps

you mean : there are 107.87 g silver / mole. (= mole mass of silver)
I mole of silver is 107.87 g
1 mole = 6.02*10^23 atoms
--> 6.02*10^23 atoms = 107.87 g
--> 2.3*10^24 atoms = 107.87*2.3*10^24/6.01*10^23 g = 412.13 g

Convert ml to l by making use of multiplying. 0.40 4 ml * (a million l / one thousand ml) = 0.00044 l Convert min to sec by making use of multiplying. a million min * (60 sec / min) = 60 sec. 0.00044 l / 60 sec = 0.0000073 l / sec
