I've seen some cool stuff like a water tank intercooler or something like that but I wanna know what other kinds of cool stuff I can do I my ps3 whether it be a physical mod (the way it looks) or a performance mod (making it run faster, do more things, etc)

The most common ones I see are vent holes and modified fans. The vent holes mainly appear on the top cover and the fan is designed to suck air through them and push it out through the factory made rear vent. This is a really brilliant mod, that creates better air flow and better cooling for the system.
The other mod I see is a water cooled PS3. This is fairly complex and it requires building a water jacket, a small pump that can be driven by the in-built fan or a dedicated motor and a cooler/radiator. This, in my opinion, isn't really necessariy as the PS3 isn't an internal combustion engine, rather an electrical eqiupiment.
Other mods maybe like increasing the number of USB slots. You can also solder a flasher in it, and make a port for it for easy access.
