Is it okay to bring a puppy to a dog park?
My puppy is 10 weeks old, and I'm finding it hard to find a suitable dog park in my area that allows puppies under 4 months. Is it a good idea to bring a puppy her age to the dog park?

No. Way too much chance of coming into contact with parvo or other diseases. Your pup has only a 50% chance of her shots at 8-9 weeks having been effective.
Socialize her only around dogs you know who have been immunized and have not been around any sick dogs.

NO WAY!!! Puppies are suseptable to all kinds of viruses and sicknesses. The puppy does not have all its shots yet so do NOT take it to a dog park unless it is fully vaccinated or it may get parvo, distemper or any other of the hundreds of sicknesses puppies that do not have shots can get. Stay away til the puppy has had ALL its shots, probably about 20 weeks or so to build up immunity.
Personally I hate dog parks anyway. Too much of a chance of trouble, fights, dogs attacking your dog. People don't pay attention to their dogs there and it just causes trouble. Dog parks are horrible.

No. Dog parks have enough diseases as it is, so bringing a puppy that hasn't had all of her shots is just asking for trouble.
No dog parks for her until she is completely finished with all of her puppy vaccines.
Socialization is crucial for a puppy, especially during the first four months, but you want to only bring her places where there are mainly people, or maybe a couple of healthy, fully vaccinated dogs.

Absolutely NOT! Your puppy does not have a fully functioning immune system yet. The vaccines every three weeks provide some protection, but don't risk it.
She can attend puppy classes if the area is secured from any stray dog and other dogs do not routinely walk through. Most puppy classes won't allow puppies under 12 weeks.

absolutely inappropriate to bring a puppy that young to a dog park ... the puppy is not even fully vaccinated ... and while i do believe puppies who are not fully vaccinated can go outside and walk, they should not be brought to a dog park ... dog parks are for dogs, not puppies ... dog parks are out of control play, not what you want to teach a new puppy ... many older dogs do not appreciate puppies lack of social skills and some will not hesitate to attack a puppy ... your best bet would be to bring your puppy to puppy kindergarten/socialization classes ... safe environment, good guidance ... when your puppy is over a year old, well trained and socialized (running rampant with a pack of dogs is not socialized), has good recall, you can consider a dog park ...
