He's on the money but he's going up against stiff competition. Check out the source for CarTalk's top ten Worst Cars of the Millenium.

The only one I (mercifully!) had experience with was a Chevy Vega (#2). A friend had one that split a radiator hose and drove it a bit too far before getting off the road. The block is an aluminum bathtub with the cylinders rising up through a bath of coolant. The cylinders got too hot and drooped, pulling the cylinders away from the head.

THe VW rabbit is really one of thhe BEST ONES> it was engienered for higher AUTOBAHN speeds, and has a superb injection system, the SAME as on a MERCEDES BENZ! THey are FRONT drive and safe in most bad weather, too. THe CITATION was a balance JOKE. GM did NOT balance the two front drive axles, and they were UNRELIABLE for TORQUE STEER. THe VEGA would hold the first 10 postions all by itself, ,and many of the GM trucks that featured the straight six were TOTAL DISASTER AREAS. They formed the cylinder head and the INTAKE in one piece for costs and it just DID NOT WORK! ANOTHER dandy were cars with the 2.7 V6 CHRYSLER engines in them They were ALL oil burners and wound up in yard fills everywhere across this land of ours. ALso any cars with CARBURETIORS and SOLENOID VALVES

There are a lot more cars made than you think that are really unreliable. All car manufacturers have at least one of their own. The Yugo as stated was a bad one for sure.here is a list of winners and losers:

pretty much any car that's been abused, and no maintenance done to it.
