I was sure i read somewhere saying the industry was worth more than 2 trillion but i don't know if that is true can someone give me a good answer as to exactly what the industry is worth?

One of the principles of economics is that goods are not valued in massive great aggregate classes.
It's like saying, what's the value of all the bread in world, exactly.
Any answer is going to be
a) meaningless and
b) wrong
because money can only be used to value things that are exchanged against money, and no-one is ever confronted with the choice of buying all the bread in the world, or all the computers, hardware, software etc.
It can't be expressed in dollar terms, simple as that.

They were so good as writers and composers that a lot of people get tired of hearing about them... but yes, they deserve every bit of the praise and acclaim that was and is heaped upon them. Short of Elvis Presley, no single person or act has had the impact on popular music that the Beatles continue to have. They may sound tame today, but by comparison Metallica will probably seem tame if they are still played in 40 years. Short of Bob Dylan, some of the Motown stable of writers, and Neil Young, the Beatles wrote some of the best music ever recorded.
