there could be a variety of reasons such as hemmorhoids, a burst blood vessel, polyps, and of course cancer. Is the blood bright red (which is common for bleeds at the end of the colon) or black/ tarry (which is common for bleeds at the start of the colon). Also keep in mind that bleeding can occur if you have just traveled (and sat for long periods of time). Has the bleeding been occurring over a long period of time or is this a new thing for you? No matter the cause, it is easy to find out. Make an appointment and see your doctor, he can take a peek and let you know if there is anything to be concerned about.

Get to your doctor quickly, it could be a sign of haemorrhoids or bowel cancer.
