Where in America will Jesus appear according to LDS (Mormon) church teachings?
Do they teach that during the millenium he will come to the US state of Missouri, and reign in a city called New Jerusalem which will be located there?

According to LDS church sources, Joseph Smith taught that Zion was America, its center was Jackson County, Missouri and that New Jerusalem was Independence, Missouri. Later prophets of the church have rescinded that revelation of Joseph's, saying Joseph Smith was mistaken or wrong. Several LDS prophets have claimed it to be Salt Lake City, Utah, while others claimed not to know where it would be, then still others claimed that LDS scholars did not know, or, maybe it might be in Israel, who knows?
