I bought a cord of firewood several days ago, they have been placed in the backyard for several days, so I plan to store them outdoors, I don't have any outdoor shed can used as its storage. So any idea about store firewood outdoors will be appreciated!

Yeah, I store my firewood outdoors, I believe most people also store firewood outdoors. Share you a post named Instructions about How to Store Firewood Outdoors from http://www.astove.co.uk/blog/instructions-about-how-to-store-firewood-outdoors/ . At the same time, it is important to stack your woodpile correctly, or may cause woodpile pest infestation, here are two posts tell you how to prevent woodpile pest infestation from http://www.astove.co.uk/blog/how-to-prevent-a-woodpile-pest-infestation1/ and http://www.astove.co.uk/blog/how-to-prevent-a-woodpile-pest-infestation2/ I hope these posts can help you and keep these pests from your woodpile and house.
Thats where i always kept mine. You can tarp it in the winter to keep snow off to keep mess down when you bring it indoors if you want though i never did... i just stacked it and left it.
We store our fire wood outside all year round and just cover them up with tarps! In the winter we use small stakes to keep the tarps secured. Hope this helps!
