Few questions about fraps?

Alright first question is, how much power does it take? Will games have a seriously bad frame rate while recording or will it be fine to use. Also how does fraps even work? I've tried out the trial version and it was pretty confusing.

actually fraps takes a bit of power but if u have a a avarage computer then fraps will not have any effect! and also if u have powerfull graphics card that is AMD or Nvidia then ur framerate won't reduce but by the way fraps record the gameplays!! u need to press F9 and the numbers that appear on the top left corner of ur screen then it will turn from yellow to red red means it's recording and again if u press and hold F9 then it will turn to yellow that means it has stopped recording!
hope this helps!

Try Bandicam!!

It's free and decent recording software.
- You can upload the recorded file to YouTube without converting.
- The recorded file size is much smaller than other capture programs.
- The maximum file size is unlimited as long as the local Hard Disk has free space available (Over 24 hours recording).
- It causes much less lag than other capture programs (Bandicam uses much lower CPU/GPU).
- Bandicam can record video at resolutions up to 2560*1600 in high quality (1080p full HD video can be made).

To record desktop screen, use Rectangle on a screen capture method of Bandicam

Fraps == BAD (has a 30sec time limit)
Hypercam == Not meant for gaming HD
Bandicam == PRO awesome, smaller files, HD recording. Better than fraps...

I have bandicam and ever since I got this I have been grateful for the software they have provided.
