They HAVE to have a reason. Some scientific information that they are at least misinterpreting.. They can't be so stupid as to have entirely no idea what they're talking about.

Denialists worship oil, coal and SUVs, in violation of the first two commandments. So why do they deny global warming? Fear. Many people are afraid that if we do not use fossil fuels, we will not be able to drive cars or heat or light our homes. But all of these can be done with new energy sources. And a lot of oil companies have their headquarters in the Bible Belt. Many preachers love having 10% of oil company profits in the offering bucket.
