I have a question about the army?

I picked a non-combat job, and also picked airborne. If I get sent to a airborne unit. what are my main responsibilities? What's the difference between a airborne unit and a non-airborne unit? Am I going to do my same job? WIll I deploy a lot because i'm airborne? My job is supply

As supply you do have an non combat job yet you can be assigned to a combat arms unit. your main responsibilities will be to keep the unit supplied with all the equipment it needs as well as keeping track of the materials it has. the difference between an airborne unit and a non-airborne unit is just that. an airborne unit will perform parachute drops into the battlefield. there hasnt been a combat drop since about the beginning of OIF though. You have the possibility that you will be deployed for 9 months with a year dewell time inbetween.

You will do the job that you are trained for. Your responsibilities will not change because you are airborne. You deploying depends on where you go, just because you are airborne trained does not mean that you will go to an airborne unit and it also depends on the deployment cycle of the unit that you get assigned to.
