You will have to wait for the conference where he will publish his results. I have queried all my scientist and geology friends that could possibly have any insight, and they are mum. The conference is scheduled for 5 DEC 12 in San Francisco, so keep your eyes on the news from there.

Keep in mind, what may be earth-shattering to a scientist is probably less so to the general public. The press has a HORRIBLE record of over hyping everything that comes from scientific research, because they have the basic scientific literacy of slime mold...

He seems to be just the sort of person NASA wants. Someone who will find what NASA wants them to find.
