Im moving in March. Need advice.?

Hey guys! I currently live in Indiana and I am moving to Florida in March. I grew up here and have never moved. I have only traveled inside the surrounding states and traveled drove to Florida for vacation once. I'm nervous and this is such a big thing that I don't know what to expect. So my question is: have you ever done something like this? If so, how did you like it?? Are you still there or did you move back to your hometown? What kind of toll did it take on your relationships with family and friends?
Sorry this is so long. Thanks to everyone who helps! :D

I have lived in five states, two countries and plenty more cities. To me, a new place is exciting, you get to learn all kinds of things about another place. Then you know if you like it better than where you have been before. I have never moved back to the same place. Having seen and experienced all those places makes where I am now the more sweeter. This is where I really belong and I plan to stay. You will never know what place is the best for you if you don't try a few out.

Family is not close by, but often that is a good thing. Then you can socialize with the people you want to, not necessarily all of them. You will meet a lot of new people, but you have to then choose those who's company is best for you.
