What format are the movies in, and where did you get them? The Kindle will accept mp4 files as long as there's no DRM. Movies purchased through iTunes, for example, are in the correct format but have DRM that does now allow them to be transferred.

You can't, but it's not easy.
You need to find some software to rip DVDs to MP4 format, and then you can copy them over.
