Anyone know about 'Aircraft of the World'?

I used to have 3 binders from the AotW collection when I was a kid. I loved getting the cards each month, but my parents hit financial trouble and stopped getting them. I loved those binders but my mom sold them in a garage sale (i had no idea until recently) when I was in high school. Now that I am all 'growed-up' I want to get the collection in full. My questions: How many cards were issued total? Do you know where I might be able to find a complete set for a reasonable price?
