Does your coin look the the photos in the PCGS link below?
If so, it is a US Mint (Philadelphia) product rather than a California product. It is made primarily of copper rather than gold.
Coin Value depends on rarity and condition. In typical heavily circulated condition, an 1855 1/2 cent would retail for about $55. A dealer might pay 60% to 70% of that amount to buy.

Neither the US Mint nor any of the private mints that issued 'California fractional gold' coins ever made a half cent in gold. Fractional gold was made in dollar, half dollar and 25 cent denominations.
I think what you have may be a half dollar replica. There are tons of these out there. The only value they have is what someone will give you for it. There is no gold in it.

It is not a genuine California gold coin, it is a souvenir piece and has no value. It doesn't actually have the word "cent" on it anywhere, does it?
