Season 8 looks to be good since its back to having the Demons as the primary antagonists. I like the new direction.

Season Five: Mainly for Swan Song (best episode of all time) but also because the season was well paced and the episodes were generally very good. Even though I don't like the angels, I really loved the Micheal vs Lucifer storyline
Season One: My babies! Saving people, hunting things, the family business! I miss the days when Sam and Dean really cared about each other and there were no secondary characters in the way.
Season Two: Some of the best episodes, plus it's still very brother-centric
Season Three: The most painful of the seasons, for sure. Bela and Ruby were good, though I do like Ruby 2.0 more.
Season Six: People critique this season a lot, but I LOVED soulless!Sam! He was a fantastic character and I loved getting to see into his head. Though I was VERY upset when Dean didn't kill Castiel for breaking Sam's wall. That was completely OOC.
Season Seven: Castiel being off the show for so long was fantastic, and I loved the fact that Sam got character growth and his own story line. Jared and Mark's acting knocked it out of the park. Plus, I was glad to finally see Bobby go.
Season Four: We get introduced to Castiel and then he doesn't go away. Plus, shitty fillers like Family Remains and Criss Angel is a Douchebag. Those were terrible episodes.
Season Eight: Bad writing, bad characterization, bad storylines, bad bad bad everything

I really can't choose which of the first 5 seasons are the best. I love them all equally, Eric Kripke is a genius.
Season 6+ are just terrible, not good at all. The thing that bothers me most of season 6+ is the fact that Sam and Dean has done nothing to try to get Adam out of hell.
I miss Supernatural the way it used to be when Eric was running the show. They should have just ended it after season 5.

Season 5 - A strong storyline and it really pulled the brother's together and showed who they deeply are.
Season 3 - Showing just how close the boys were and trying to find their way out of the deal.
Season 2 - This season was really about the family. Who they are, what they'll do for each other, and just how f--ed up they all really are.
Season 1 - Yay! We get to see what's going on and get a horror movie every week.
Season 4 - Now a plot really begins to form with the angels and demons preparing for their showdown.
Season 7 - It had some good elements, but...meh.
Season 6 - WTF WAS WITH SAM LOSING HIS SOUL?!

Only seen 1-6 and I like them in that order, 1 being my favourite ( I liked six slightly more than five though), the other seasons had its moments but they kinda screwed it a bit. Still a fan though.
