Paypal question about making a payment?

Question

I ordered some stuff online last night and payed for it through paypal. Problem is my Paypal account is showing it as pending even though I have the cash in my account. Need the stuff I ordered by next weekend as it's Christmas presents and I'm only visiting Saturday so if I don't have them by then I'm gonna have to by other things.
Why would it be pending when I've got the cash in my account?

Additional Details
I've over £200 in my account and would have thought it would be instant as never had a problem before. It's still showing as pending so starting to get worried as can't see me getting it for Saturday.

if you have a credit card or debit card on your pay pal the transaction should go through but if your saying that it's pending then it does take awhile up to a week or two just to let you know  and if it's pending it's usually because you are using a e-check from but in your case your saying that you have money on your paypal account i'm not really sure but after it's done pending your item will be shipped after it done pending i don't think that answered you question but i hope that it's of some use.
