Hoods in relation to aluminium?

so basically, I'm doing a project and I must include something about 'hoods'? It is something to do with environmental issues but idk what... please help

hoods as in vacuum hoods, air vents, etc.? it's best if they were stainless steel so that the Al doesn't react with the fumes that are being vented out of the area.
