Why wont people call black boxers in the U.S American-Boxers?

Question

And im sure SOME KNOW that when people say black boxers they are talking about black boxers from the US. But where does that put other black boxers who arent american and why are boxers in the US described by race or ethnicity?

Rigondeaux is black, But his National origin is CUBA(CUBAN) 
i'VE SEEN FIGHTS where americans have gone abroad in europe and they are called american by fans over there but over here you either black, or if your latino you are called your mother country(mexican, puerto rican,m cuban etc) instead of american!
Cellistino Callabero is black, but is a Panamanian 
Guillermo Jones is black but Panamanian etc etc etc I seen a few questions asking why black bothers do this or cant sell tickets aren't they american? Or is it because they dont get support? I also know boxing can be very nationalistic but american fighters or american fight fans arent supportive like european countries regardless of the fighters personalities

Those are usually the fans but the boxing commentators always refer to black boxers as americans like Sugar Ray Leonard,Floyd Mayweather jr., and Muhammad Ali and Oscar De La Hoya isn't listed on the all time great mexican boxers because he was born in the U.S.A.

It is broken down by country and then state and then region and then city and then hometown and then ethnicity if it needs to go there. The majority of Americans apparently need the clarification. After all, they created the clarification system. I doubt these boxers had a say in it.

i seen Robert Guerrero doing that. he is from Gilroy CALIFORNIA, but he comes out with a Mexican flag. 
Gilroy is about 600 miles North of Mexico.  Guerrero is a PUNK, and i hope Mayweather who is Black AND American is gonna whoop his @ss SO BAD that Gilroy wont even take him back, and he will have no choice but to MOVE TO MEXICO and they will never respect him because they all know he is really a WHITE KID from northern California
