What else could cause right side pain besides gallstones?

For quite sometime I've been having minor pain on my right side, under my rib cage. I know gallstones are a big factor and the pain is pretty painful, although I'm not in serious pain. I can function fine but at times my right side hurts like right now.I took an ultrasound in Nov and never got the results I'm suppose to go Monday and talk with the doctor but in the meantime I just want to look for answers and see if there are others out there who had the same issue. I get a times pain in the back near the right shoulder, pain under the rib cage, it lasts for at least an hour and goes away, tends to happen after eating something, umm other than that I'm okay. If anyone can help that would be great thanks.

Women have a lot of gall bladder problems for some reason. That's what it sounds like but it is possible it's female problems too like tubal pregnancy or maybe a cyst. Use the symptom checker here.

Good news about gall bladder is surgery is much simpler than it used to be. In the old days they had to get their hands in there to cut it out. Nowadays i think they just use robotic tools & a small incision. recovery time is much faster.

I know you said other than gallstones, but that is exactly what it sounds like. I had gallstones so bad that it was almost major surgery and it rarely ever hurt really bad. A lot of the times it was just minor pain.
