Girls: Do i sound like a "dateable" person to you?

Kind of a weird question but im just wondering if i sound like someone you would date because i always get friendzoned and ive only ever been in one relationship (a long distance one where i got cheated on). Also i recently turned 17. Im not super talkative usually, it takes me a while to warm up to people and feel comfortable with them. I get picked on a lot by my friends at school and i have a dad who is an alcoholic and gambling addict. I play quite a bit of video games (zelda, smash bros, mass effect, resident evil, halo, mass effect mostly) and i watch some anime but not a whole lot. Im not a superconfident guy and i dont gave great grades. I always treat girls right and even when im mad i try to be calm to them. I get attached very easily and i can make the mistake of someone just being kind as them flirting. I dont like people i like meeting my friends or family, my friends always mess with my relationships and that stuff and i dont trust my parents. Im not very flirty at first and Ive never kissed a girl so its something i am scared to do. I dont really care that much about sex and that stuff, i just enjoy having someone i care about who i can talk to. So do i sound like someone you date or just friendzone? Thanks for the answer :)

Most of the girls would friendzone you but that depends on the type of girl. They would say that you're a nerd or maybe a geek but still nothing's wrong with being what you really are. In my opinion, since I'm also that kind of person, always sticking to books, computer games, and not that sociable, you are a dateable person. You just have to make yourself more open to others and make them understand the reasons why you are that way and be confident for what you are.

Well if you were really quiet then that might be off putting. Girls might think you're not interested or in all honesty, boring.
When you say you get very attached...does this translate to you get very clingy? Because most girls don't like that either.

Apart from that you sound like a good guy, I'm sure there will be girls that are interested. I know loads of girls that are into anime and computer games.

To be honest, I would friendzone you. Most girls do not find watching anime and playing video games "attractive". Try being more outgoing, such as playing sports or being funnier. Its sweet that you dont care about sex or havent had your first kiss yet, but you just need to come out of your shell more. Hope you find someone that will make you happy:)
