They make a bike difference. I do not use them on my road bikes. I do have them on my tandem and on my daughters hybrid bikes. Of all the tire liners, Mr Tuffy has always had a good reputation. They seem to last a life time!

The slime tube liners have been known to cut tubes so go with Mr Tuffy. I very seldom get a flat so I am fine with patches and and a spare tube. They also make more puncture resistance tires.

No. I don't need liners.

I use high quality tires.

I carry tube(s) and patch kit and am competent with the routine

I try to avoid hazards and rarely puncture

Use liners if you must, but remember there are downfalls to using a liner with a cheap tire (if that's the case) when a better tire alone will suffice.

I use them on my BMX only. My road, touring and mtn bikes have tires that are marketed as "puncture resistant", but usually prove to be puncture proof- Schwalbe Marathon Supreme, Specialized Nimbus Armadillo and Specialized Elite Armadillo. I only ever have to take them off after installing them when the threads start showing after thousands of miles. After I kill this last set of regular bmx tires, I look forward to trying out Schwalbe's Big Apple without liners to see how they handle the glass and thorns.

I used to use My Tuffy's on my road bike, but there has to
a good reason (glass, goat heads, frequent flats)

I find the lighter the tire, the more you will feel it.
