Why do women prefer restaurants and men prefer pubs/bars?

Women see a restaurant as cleaner and quieter where they can have a conversation it is a place they can dress up a little. Men prefer a more casual setting where they can let loose have some cocktails and let go of the the day

men like the idea of young, pretty, drunk women.
Women prefer the safer and sometimes more friendly or romantic ambience of a restaurant.
And the women probably don't want to be in a venue where they're being ignored while the males they came with stare at other women.

I'm a girl and I prefer bars/clubs actually. Restaurants are quite boring, at least the one's I've been too are.

because they tend to share too much information about their past, relationship and love life therefore restaurants seem to be better place :D
