Where can I puchase a good 1955 Stimpmeter?

The "pros" tell me I can't use it on the green, but nobody seems to know the actual rules about it's usage. I need a new one because my wife broke mine over my head on the 17th at CrumpinFox.

Sorry, can't find a vintage Stimpmeter anywhere on the internet. You might try a sports memorabilia store, newspaper or even ask around at the club you frequent.

There is an app for the iPhone available. But not all the news about it is good news.

FIRST LINK:
Although not the goofiest iPhone application on the web, the new iPhone application known as the iStimp poses some interesting problems. In this video, PACE Turf's Dr. Larry Stowell discusses the issue of accuracy (can an iPhone really accurately measure greens speeds?) as well as the potential for slower play if golfers insist on taking the 6 to 8 minutes needed to get their own personal iStimp measurement.

And a newer technology Stimpmeter is available.

SECOND LINK:
After two years of internal development, the U.S. Golf Association this week is announcing a new Stimpmeter, used for measuring green speeds. Unlike the old version, a 36-inch-long aluminum bar painted green, the new model is a 36-inch-long aluminum bar painted dazzling "USGA blue."
