Much like "the single life" anywhere, except we have fewer pavement cafés than other parts of Europe and fewer strip malls than North America for you to spend time in. Like a singleton in any society you'll probably greatly value your friendship circle and keep in frequent contact with them, even if they are not always available when you want them to be.
You'll be on the lookout for a partner, whether it's casual sleeping around or a longer term relationship. If you're younger the scene for this will probably be pubs & clubs in town centres and at house parties, if you're a bit older it could be via a friend of a friend, the workplace, or online profile matching.
