So I'm in 8th grade and I just got my first gf, a girl I liked for a long time. We have been dating for about a month. We just had our first kiss near the lockers. It was both of our first times, and it was super akwardo. She grabbed onto my shoulder and pecked me right on the lips. I smiled at her and if anything, our relationships better. But I cant help feeling disapointed. It was an unromantic location, there were a bunch of kids hanging around and it was strange and scary and awkward. Is it okay for me to be a little disappointed? I mean, aren't first kisses supposed to be magical and exciting?

First kisses are just that,first kisses.Don;t judge first kisses.Everyone has this idea that first kisses are supposed to be magical and so on.If it's your first kiss you haven't had a kiss to compare it to.First kisses are a practice.Depending on the other person and whether they've kissed before it might be dull.

If you're with someone just practice kissing and talk it over to improve.It takes 2 people to make a kiss.It's a good excuse for making out.

Here's something else to realise,don't use this as an excuse,compatibility and non compatibility with lips isn't unusual.There are couples who can't get a satisfying kiss because their lips aren't compatible.Lips come in all shapes and sizes.Look around and see for yourself.For example 1 person with very tiny lips shouldn't be with someone who has big lips.It's just not going to work.

Don't set your standards for first kiss.You could be the dud.
