usps personal law suite?

I am a postal service employee and I need to under what circumstances can a worker sue management?
Management is going beyond their duties and are taking a unhealthy interest in me by attempting to file a successful grievance .
They have taken steps to push me into a job that is more than 166 miles away!
My union is helping but is very limiting as to what they can do immediately.
The manager is acting as though this issue is a personal matter against him.

They are violating the contract and I am a member of the protected class under eeoc

Are you trying to say that management is retaliating against you because you filed a grievance? Talk with your shop steward. That's why he/she is there! Until the grievance is settled, comply with whatever management asks/demands. If you don't, you can be terminated for insubordination.

EDIT: What protected class? If you're protected, file an EEO case against them.

"Management is going beyond their duties and are taking a unhealthy interest in me "

What the hell does that mean?

Push? Are you saying that your being ask to take a position 166 miles away? I think your Union knows damn well there is nothing they CAN do.

Not a thing in the world unless they violate your contract or are doing this because you are in a protected EEOC class.
