Ready for a "JUST FOR FUN" weekend qustion?

What fish is known as the "living fish hook" fish, and why is it called so?

No correct answer yet. Good guesses but NOT the one we're looking for.

(Andrew: Why do you keep changing names? Pick one. Stick with it! You only confuse people with your failure to be recognized which tends to make people not trust you.)

Dan,
I have to admit, I love your questions brother. It's very refreshing and challenging. DAN B's Weekend Warrior Challenge...I'm loving it!!

Living fish hook huh?

I'm thinking a Remora. Back in the day these fish were actually used to catch other fish. A remora would attach itself to a larger fish with it's suction like mouth and by using it's tongue it would scrape away at the skin and feed off the fish like a parasite. This ability was quickly exploited and therefore used by people to catch fish by attaching a line to the remora and letting it do it's thing.
I love fishing history and maybe I'm wrong but this was one way they did it back in the day. ; ) ~good luck catchin'.

I know about a deep sea fish called the anglerfish, because it has a fleshy growth on its head that it uses like a lure to get fish and shrimp, but I don't think it is called the living fish hook. There is something like 200 different species of anglerfish.
