Why isnt my norton antivirus working?

Okay so I have the orton antivirus for my laptop. When I got a virus like 6 months ago the people put it on there. So the other day I wanted to check my norton just in case and it wouldnt open. I then clicked scan from the smaller menu and then it said C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Antivirus\Engine64\19.9.1.14\uistub.exe Unspecified error BTW I cant undownload it because I wasnt the one who installed it.

Get rid or NortaCrap its the worst AV you will ever use, i swear. I as quickly as had NortaCrap and that i swap to Avast! and Avast! picked up 12-sixteen trojans and viruses. attempt Avast! or Kaspersky the two are large AV's.
