Does anyone know of a good indoor TV antenna?
I'm getting sick of the high cable TV bills for the crap programming I get & would like to ditch cable TV. I'm looking for one that can pick up the signal good but doesn't cost a fortune. Thanks!

Buy a cheap pair of rabbit ears (5 USD) and fiddle around with them to see if you can pick up anything.
If not, you would need a roof antenna. If you do pick up any stations, I do not think you will improve it any by buying an expensive indoor set. Boosters on rabbit ears are useless. Boosters will amplify the noise sources as well as any signals. Boosters are only good for pre-amps on outside antennas to overcome the cable and splitter losses.

Digital TV signals are not forgiving for weak signals.. With an indoor antenna, you may get a few channels, or none.. Unless you are close to the TV transmitters. I tried an outdoor antenna with an amplifier, and still only got about 4 channels. (local.)

They work better placed by a window facing the transmitter.
A boosted one will work better.
For consistent signal strength, a antenna mounted on the roof would be a better idea.

See antennaweb.org and tvfool.com to see what antenna you need.

Indoor antennas don't supply a very good signal, get a roof one.
