I feel my skills in business and camera work are to the point where am confident I can run a business and take a good picture. My goal is to establish a studio-kiosk for corporate events, weddings, and reunions to capture that special moment in the lives of individuals...has anyone been down that road- Good or BAD

I have worked with a photographer that did something like this a couple times. It can work if you have everything set up, a team, a portable printer, a portable studio and you "all" can work fast.
You will need to set up a template that is easy for your photo editor to work with and can get the photos quickly printed out. You will need someone to help with poseing (unless you are taking candids, then I wouldn't even bother with the idea unless someone has hired you to photograph the event).
If you are a great organizer and everyone on your team can work fast for a long period of time, then this can be very successful.
Yes, one of my friend is also in the same business and now he has his own photography firm i.e: http://www.amitsoodphotography.com. He is from Chandigarh and has established a good set up of his business there.
