What does the Governor's Security Consist of?

I am writing a book and the main plot revolves around the Governor's daughter being kidnapped. She is going to be about 7 and my question is...If the Governor and his family were at a public function would there be security just for the daughter? What would it be for the Governor or his daughter?

His/Her security detail is normally made up of CP trained members of the State Police or senior law enforcement agency of the State they serve. Such security focuses on the Governor and his/her family owing to the fact they are often together or in the same location. Children in school would have a bodyguard with them as well.
