Horrible period cramps!! :'(?

So, its 3:30 in the morning and I'm still awake, curled into a ball, crying, trying to type this. My period cramps woke me up around 1 and I have school tomorrow :( my back hurts and so does my stomach, I want to be put on birth control but only for my period, I want this stupid thing gone. Please help? I'm miserable right now, just like every month when I get my period. But I don't know how to approach my dad and stepmom about getting birth control that gets rid of my period.

Hemp seed or hemp seed oil. The ratio of omega 6 to 3 is 3:1 (approximately the ratio of the human body). These essential fatty acids work together to allow more oxygen to reach your cells. Improved oxygen flow not only helps every organ in your body, but it reduces pain and bloating.

EDIT: Whatever you do don't listen to Dr. Quack. Xanax will do nothing but rob you of your money and character.

Birth control is an excellent way to control period cramps. The best way to bring it up to your parents is to just say what is happening, explain the sevarity of your pain and say that you would like to try this approach because it is becoming unbearable. You can get birth control through planed parenthood or at free clinics and birth control is covered by many insurance companies. Other ways to help is working out even going for a walk during the day can decrease the pain that you usually experience later.
Puting a heating pain on your stomach or wherever you cramps are can help with the pain as well. I hope this helps.

No, don't do birth control, pills, hon. They'll cause you more problems down the road.

For now, use heat. Hot water bottles on your belly and back can help - wrapped in towels. Or heat pads. And you can take ibuprofen for the pain, don't exceed the daily recommended dosage.

What helps A LOT is diet and exercise, so start eating properly and do whatever exercise you enjoy, but do it regularly and get your heartbeat up for about 30 minutes a time.

You could also take evening primrose oil capsules to help your body manufacture whatever it needs to counteract the hormonal imbalance that's making your periods so painful, and really any other multivitamins and minerals. Take them every day, though. They help a lot. (They helped me!) I don't know of any negative side effects of taking these, and there are a few other positives about them - good for skin, good for joints and bones, and good for hair.

What also helps is a hot-water bottle or a hot bath. Something warm/hot you need to apply to the crampy area. I have severe stomach cramps too, but I take pills for that. Just tell your parents- don't take it lightly. You have school in a couple of hours, you'll be miserable in class! Y'know, since you're not getting any sleep and all. If you could, skip school for a day and get this straight. Talk to your parents about it. In the future you'll have to deal with these cramps again and they may come at inconvenient times, trust me.

I know other people have said take a warm bath..in my experience that is a terrible idea unless you want your bath to look like a shark attack just happened.. But put on warm, fuzzy clothes (socks!!) and get a rice bag (microwave it for 2 mins) or heating pad and put it against your stomach. Take mydol, too. That's all I know sorry :( And just ask them, be straightforward. Make sure and tell them how severe your pain is and you are not using it for sex.
