Does anyone know why all of a sudden it takes Google Chrome a minute
or so to load. It was click, and it was open. It says downloading proxy script. I don't use proxies. I even tried backing up a couple of versions.
I have the latest version. Version 27.0.1430.0 It works find after it once
it opens.

I am thinking of two possibilities, though you mentioned one. First: have you uninstalled your new versions? They sound like they are just in Beta. My Chrome says: Version 25.0.1364.152 m
Google Chrome is up to date. Perhaps your newer versions still have kinks to be worked out.
Secondly, you may have picked up some sort of bot or malware BHO object. I would run a full scan with an updated version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program or IObit's Malware Fighter. Better yet down load the newest version of Combo Fix only from bleepingcomputer.com. That one is the real deal.
