yahama fz6r and ninja 300?

Anyone own this bike? I wanna know if its good.

Heres the thing im taking the safety course in tx this weekend and I was going to get my license mon and get a bike on tuesday. My main choices are between ninja 300 and 2011 fz6r. The ninja is brand new and the fz6r has 9k miles. Ninja is 5500 and the fz6r is 5300 out the door. I was wondering what to go with. I learn pretty quick like i learned how to drive in 3 hrs and how to drive standard well in less than a day i was downshifting without realizing it and everything so my main concern is that the ninja will get boring fast. And the prices for insurance are around the same like fz6r is 35 a month so awesome. My riding is going to on the hwy alot I love taking road trips with my gf and ill drive to austin and places like that so a 3 hr drive. So here are the questions: 1. what do people who owned bikes for a while think abt these two bikes? 2. Is riding for a while going to be annoying on either of these bikes?. 3. Can you guys just say whatever you want abt these bikes like pros and cons and stuff like that, tips would also help too? Im new to riding but once i get the bikes ill take a free day and go practice with the bike like clutch control and stopping quickly and stuff like that. So help m out guys thatll be awesome

Also i wanna know how reliable are these bikes. I can learn to do the basic stuff but more advanced stuff i wont know how to do or have the time to learn how to do it myself

Btw when I mention I learned how to ride a clutch it meant that not only did I learn how to drive it, thats easy, but I learned how to pop the clutch by the end of the day. And everyone who I know who has driven a standard said how impressive it was that I learned how to drive well so fast.

Learning how to ride or drive is totally different to just learning how to operate the controls.

Any monkey can learn the controls in a few hours it doesn't mean they've learnt to ride at all.

But both your choices are ok, if you intend taking your gf and longer trips as you say they the FZ6 is definitely the one to go for.

Find a used Ninja 250, learn to ride on it first (take a year or more). Sell if for what you bought it for then get the FZ.

all jap bikes are reliable, the fz6r is going to sound way better weigh more and be much faster which is important if you travel via highway.
300 looks better is lighter and slower.sounds like a angry blender
id get the fx6r just for sound alone. its more power vut if your muture anough you can handle it just watch that trottle.
oh and im glad your not considering a ss bike.
