Do you think that one's sexual preferences are linked to their facial appearance?

Have you ever noticed that gay people usually "look gay" and straight people usually "look straight"? I know there are exceptions but this is a general rule right? I think so

But yes and no .

Yes because being gay is a type of hormonal issue that goes wrong in development , therefore very often people who are gay will show physical aspects as well as personality aspects of the opposite gender . Not exactly "looking gay" , but I know what you meant .
Female ; wide shoulders , small breasts / butt , boy-ish appearance , "strong" face
Male ; small frame , smaller legs , more 'plump' butt , "soft" face

No because like you said , this doesn't always happen . There could be a girl with a boy-ish appearance who's perfectly straight , or the other way around .
It just happens more often which is why the stereotype of "looking gay" exists .

No. Most people "mistake" me for being straight and I have numerous straight friends who are "mistaken" for being gay. The gay or straight "look" merely comes from stereotyping and even though some naturally adhere to it, it doesn't nearly apply enough to be stated a general rule.

Sexual preference is the type of sex people enjoy, it's not their sexuality. Orientation isn't a preference, it's an innate state of being.

Yes I agree about there being gay faces and straight faces that some people have. But you could also argue that since most people have neither type of face then the presumption is invalid.
Just saying. :o)
