How to locate pictures using Hiren's Boot CD?
Using Hiren's mini XP to access a Windows 7 desktop.
Need to copy pictures before reformatting/reinstalling.
HOW do I even locate the pictures?
I cannot locate them under Users > Documents> Pictures, because I'm technically on a different OS (the Rescue Disc's mini XP OS).
Confused and please help. I'm trying to save my niece's artwork. Thank you!!
@Tiberia: Thank you so much for answering!
You were right, the D drive is largest.
HOWEVER, I click on D, then have to click on on 'MountPointManagerRemoteDatabase'.
Message: "Choose the program you want to use to open this file:"
I click "Browse", but do not know what to choose.
Ooops! I left out that part- yes, it is under System Volume Info.
It's the largest drive full of "stuff", not free space.
Anyway, thank you so much for trying to help.
{I never call a repair guy- I always figure it out on my own- I was just hoping to speed up the process, by asking.} :-)
@Wide Glide:
That is path I attempted first; pics not there; Assuming it's because I'm using Rescue Disc.
Drives are different on Rescue Disc.
Hiren's used_to_be bootlegged software.
Today, it is Freeware & Shareware- the only exception being mini-XP, which I'm legally using to access a Win 7 machine.
