What's better a flat tax or a fair tax?

A flat tax or fair tax are both good and a lot better than the current tax code but which one is better for the nation and the economy overall? With a 10% flat tax people will spend way more money, businesses will make a lot more money and the government will make tons of more money. If there is a fair tax, then when people go to a store to buy something they will have to pay a lot more money but that would be the only federal tax while all the other federal taxes would be eliminated.

I guess we all know what a flat tax is but how is a fair tax defined?
the people in Congress don't think it is fair right now because they want to raise taxes even more, to be sure there is money to spend on their pet projects
but you on the other hand think the current tax rate is totally unfair, because you would like to be able to use more or your own money

The current income tax structure is actually more fair than either a flat tax or a national sales tax, both of which are horribly regressive.
