And when a really fine Black performer comes along (Obama, Whoopie, Belafonte, Poitier, the wonderful Morgan Freeman) the Black community is cool toward them (Uncle Toms, Oreo Cookies)

I kinda know what you mean. Look at all of Samuel Jackson's roles. Hes always yelling and shouting. Not very subtle. Denzel Washington at least plays more subtle roles.
