I am looking for a good pair of outdoor rollerskates. I will primarily use them on an asphalt trail in my local park. I am not a fan of inline skates and prefer the traditional style; I'm old school like that. What brand and style would be a good bet for me? I'm not an ace but I'm not a novice either. I'm looking for a super fun way to stay in shape. Thank you for the help!

There are many quad/old school skates that are designed for outdoor use. The easiest thing to do is to get your favorite indoor quad skates and replace the hard indoor wheels with a set of softer, bigger outdoor wheels like Road Hogs from Atom or Sure Grip Aerobics. The outdoor wheels will roll smoother on the asphalt surface and the larger size will help you roll over slightly irregular surfaces.
If you want a whole skate setup, there are many packages available that use a traditional high-top or speed boot with a sturdy plate/chassis and outdoor wheels. But, the most unique packages are the Quadlines. They offer the old school comfort of a variety of quad boot styles plus the benefits that inlines offer with over sized inline wheels on anything from a normal to very wide wheelbase that works on fairly rough (not off road) surfaces. I have never tried these, but they seem to offer some features of both worlds:
