On my 98 durango this mechanic said he could not give my truck a front?

wheel alignment because the rear brakes are locking up a little. Does this really cause a problem for the front alignment.

it does have an effect to an extent. if the front brakes are relaxed and the rear are tight, the car will have a hard braking attitude any time that you let off of the gas. this will put more weight up front and quash the springs at that point. it is not a long term thing but camber and caster can be effected. have the rear brakes looked at and go from there.
