why is mount Agassiz Arizona illegal to climb?
It is near Humphreys peak, highest point in Arizona, but Summitpost.org website says it is illegal to climb.

You can climb/hike Mt. Agassiz but only in the Winter when there is snow cover. Hiking when there is no snow cover is prohibited in order to protect a threatened plant that grows there.
