I fear that my cousin's dog, whom is a male Great Dane/Saint Bernard mix - May have gastric dilatation volvulus, he's already on the way to the veterinarian; if he undergoes surgery, what are the chances of his survival? He was brought to the emergency room about 10-15 minutes after symptoms developed.

If it is bloat: "What are the survival and recurrence rates?
"These are largely determined by the severity of the distention, the degree of shock, how quickly treatment is begun, and the presence of complications, especially those involving the heart. Approximately 60 to 70% of dogs survive. This survival rate drops drastically to approximately 20% if surgery is not performed. Following successful surgery, the recurrence rate is 6%. Approximately 75% of dogs that do not undergo surgery have another bloat episode." http://www.mypetsdr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=118&Itemid=212
I hope your cousin's dog is okay. He did the right thing by getting his dog medical aid right away.
Since he's on his way to the vet so fast his chances will be much better because it was caught early. I knew a lady once who had a 6 year old husky who got bloat and they waited just too long to get him in and they spent a TON of money on the surgery and he still didn't make it. It was very sad to hear. So good job for catching it early.
They got him in quick, that is very good! The survival rate goes down the longer the dog goes without treatment! Good luck, hope he recovers completely!!!! :-)
