What font is easiest for elderly to read?
I sometimes write letters to elderly relatives. What font is easiest to read for people who are pushing 80 years old? (I'm using Word 2010)
These are printed on paper; they don't use computers.

USE AT LEAST A 14 FONT BUT IF HE IS REALLY OLD, A 16 FONT MIGHT BE EASIER FOR HIM. YOU CAN ALSO CAPITALIZE WHILE USING A 14 FONT. IF YOU USE TOO BIG A FONT THEN IT WOULD TAKE MORE PAGES TO PRINT THE LETTER UNLESS YOU WROTE A SINGLE PAGE LETTER. YOU MIGHT ALSO BOLD ANY DATA YOU THINK NEEDS THEIR ATTENTION SUCH AS A PHONE NUMBER OR AN ADDRESS OR OTHER ITEM THEY NEED TO WRITE DOWN.
YOU ARE BEING VERY THOUGHTFUL TO THINK OF THEIR EYES. ESTHER
