254 million cars
9 million commercial trucks
834,000 Buses
Doesn't seem like a fair comparison.

I'm probably biased to the Huey, and i'm certain the Black Hawk is a great helicopter, but rotors hitting the wall, and Black Hawks just falling to the ground makes me wonder.

Sh*t happens. Do you think you are more qualified to pilot a helicopter? By all means, try and do so.

You don't realize how many sorties per day are flown in Black Hawks. Thousands of flying hours per DAY are put in around the globe on these helicopters. The fact that we have had so few crashes is a testament to how GREAT the training is for their pilots and how durable the craft actually are.

How many flight hours per accident are they logging and what are/were the findings from the JAG and Safety Center investigations and finally what qualifies YOU to bring the air worthiness to the entire fleet of Black Hawks (and not all were Black Hawks) into question or the Pilots skills? (and playing flight simulator video games doesn't count...)

It depends on what caused the crashes. Sometimes pilots have to put them in precarious situations or it could be maintenance problems.

They crashed 3 at one time in Grenada.

Note: The Marines don't fly Blackhawks.

pilots are putting the black hawk to its limits and the MARINES are real bad about pushing the limits,

IS that what you think I said ? RTFQ I didn't say it was there fault. Army was shot down in Somalia so do some research
