What is wrong with my mystery snail?

My mystery snail has been fine for about a month in my 15 gallon tank. I also have 3 new black skirt barbs and 1 swordtail fish who has been in their for the same length as my snail. I also have 4 shrimp. None of my other fish seem to be bothering him. Sometime he will go half way into his shell and lay on his shell, with his body up in the water. I took him out to see if he was dead and he was not. Does anyone know what is wrong with him and what I can do to get him better? And what are the white spots on the swirl of his shell?

The white spots are probably from the shell becoming decalcified. Without enough calcium in the water, the shell will start to break down, crack, etc. Try adding a cuttlebone like birds use. There's also liquid calcium drops you can use (look in saltwater fish section at petstore).

Maybe the snail has some air trapped in the shell- pick it up and turn it over- if an air bubble comes out, maybe that's his prob. If not, he's probly just being a snail. They do various weird things, but they're okay.

They wish to play useless for some intent. Mine even floats around the prime of the tank earlier than letting the air go and losing to the backside to discover. The only strategy to inform if they particularly are lifeless is more often than not in the event that they fall out of their shells.
